Daniil Timin

Daniil Timin began skating at the age of four in Russia and earned the prestigious title of Master of Sports of Russia in single skating. A decorated competitor at the novice and junior levels, Daniil’s early career was shaped by a strong technical foundation that continues to influence his coaching today.

After retiring from competition, Daniil spent eight years performing as both an ensemble and principal skater with Disney on Ice, touring over 30 countries and performing for audiences around the world. He later performed as a principal adagio/pair skater with Royal Caribbean’s cruise line alongside his wife, Jonna.

Now based in Janesville, Daniil specializes in jump development and technique, with a particular focus on air position, edge control, and takeoff mechanics.

He regularly incorporates pole harness training into lessons to help skaters safely progress through more advanced jumps, including doubles and triples. His coaching style blends structure and technical precision with patience and encouragement, helping skaters build confidence and long-term consistency.
