  • Since 1973, Kris has done competitive and recreational coaching, producing world, international, national, sectional, regional and local medalists, including 1990 World Bronze Medalist and 1976 Junior World Champion.

PAST EXPERIENCE


USFS Figure Skating Professional, South Davis Recreation Center, Bountiful UT 1975-2012:
Competitive and recreational figure skating coach in all disciplines to thousands of skaters at all ages and levels (including toddlers, preschoolers, elementary school groups, Special Olympics, adults, as well as recreational and competitive skaters). Produced 3 senior international, 9 national, 4 intercollegiate, 10 junior national, numerous sectional, regional and local champions, medalists and competitors, including World Bronze Medalist, Junior World Champion, US Intercollegiate Medalists and Young International Medalists. Figure skating consultant to extensive network of USFS coaches and officials at international, national, sectional, regional and local levels, as well as competitors and parents at all levels. Expertise includes freestyle, moves in the field, pairs, ice dancing, choreography, power stroking, strength training and conditioning.


Director of Figure Skating, South Davis Recreation Center, Bountiful UT 1975-2012:
Responsible for entire figure skating program, including Learn-To-Skate and Basic Skills Programs, competitive program (all disciplines and levels); hiring, training and supervising all pros, junior pros and support staff; developing and implementing all policies and procedures; acting liaison to Utah Figure Skating Club; overseeing production of annual and holiday figure skating shows and special events; and, implementing and administering USFS sanctioned skating events (educational, competitive, seminars, professional development, skater development, parent education).


Recreation Center Supervisor, South Davis Recreation Center, Bountiful UT, 2007-2012:
Responsible for managing and supervising entire facility during part-time shifts, including all administrative operations, facility maintenance, ice maintenance, staff operations and performance, systems and efficiency, customer service, customer relations, cash handling, deposits, front desk and reception. Proficient at operating Zamboni.
